NYMPHOPLASTY OR LABIOPLASTY

The principle of this intimate surgery is to reduce the inner labia, so as to correct hypertrophy. Thanks to his experience, your surgeon will first determine if the appearance of your labia is normal or not.

If so, he will make sure, above all, to make the necessary incision in an area where there is no rubbing, in order to avoid the problem of painful scarring but also in order to preserve the natural appearance of the labia minora.

HOW DOES THE INTERVENTION GO?

Your intimate surgery, performed as an outpatient procedure, is generally done under general anaesthesia.

The sutures are performed with absorbable thread and you will be asked to observe strict hygiene. In addition, you will probably be advised to suspend sporting and sexual activity for about a month.

As far as your social and professional activities are concerned, these can be resumed fairly quickly after your labioplasty. The result of any nymphoplasty carried out is immediate.

POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS

Although every surgical procedure may involve some risks and complications that the patient has no option but to accept, your aesthetic surgeon will make a point of reducing their likelihood of appearing by choosing the technique best suited to your medical condition. Complications such as bleeding, wound or prosthetic infections and healing failure, although relatively rare, can occur with any type of surgery. This document was written as a supplement to the information you will receive during consultations. This text is not exhaustive, and cannot replace a consultation with a specialist, although it can answer some questions or give rise to others. Each patient will receive full and detailed information on her own medical status and the particular procedure chosen.
